On its way to the Rajputana, the Palace on Wheels
train stops at Jodhpur on the fourth day of the tour. Jodhpur was once
the capital of Marwar and is an important historic city of Rajasthan.
Tourist attractions in Jodhpur include the Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan
Palace and the Jaswant Thada or royal cenotaphs. Other important
attractions inside the Mehrangarh fort are the Moti Mahal, the Phool
Mahal and the Seesh Mahal, Daulat Khana and Sileh Khana.
Rajasthan is well known for a variety of handicraft items and
jewellery. The shopping attractions of Jodhpur are the exquisite
handcrafted articles including the famous breeches, embroidered shoes,
metal curios, silverware, paintings and tie and dye fabrics.

1300 Hrs: Lunch at the Umaid Bhawan Palace.
