Heritage on Wheels Day 01: Jaipur

The heritage on Wheels train tour commences from the Pink City, Jaipur. Jaipur is one of the most fascinating and well-planned cities of its time. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Sing II in 1727 A.D. The Pink City is one of the repositories of Rajasthani heritage and culture. Before boarding the Heritage on Wheels, you can go for a short sightseeing tour of the Pink City. You can also do some shopping at Jaipur. Jaipur is famous for its jewellery and handicrafts items. Main tourist attractions at Jaipur are the Amber fort, the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar (observatory) and the Hawa Mahal. On arrival at the Jaipur railway station you will be greeted by ceremonial welcome and later depart for Bikaner. Dinner will be served on board the heritage on Wheels train.
