Bikaner is the next destination of the Heritage on
Wheels train. Bikaner is a medieval fortified city. The Bikaner city
lies in the north of Rajasthan and is dotted with many sand dunes. The
Heritage on Wheels train arrives in Bikaner at around 6 in the morning.
Breakfast is served on board the train and you set out to explore the
desert city. Rao Bika founded the Bikaner city in the fifteenth century.
The magnificent forts and palaces in reddish-pink and sandstone bear
testimony to Bikaner's historical and architectural legacy. Bikaner is
known for its good breed of camels, which are among the best in the
world. Bikaner boasts of numerous magnificent buildings and palaces and
is an exponent of rich and vast cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
After exploring the Bikaner fort, camel breeding farms, sand dunes etc.
you will be driven to Gajner. Maharaja Ganga Singhji of Bikaner built
Gajner as a hunting and relaxing lodge. Gajner is known for its natural
beauty and migratory birds in winters like imperial sand goose,
antelopes, black bucks and many animal species. Lunch at Gajner follows
safari and then tea at the Lal Garh Palace. Afterwards you will return
back to the Heritage on Wheels and it sets out for Tal Chappar.

1100 Hrs: Departure for Haat
1215 Hrs: Departure from Haat to Gajner
1315 hrs: Arrival at Gajner.
15 45 hrs: Lunch at Gajner and Safari.
1615 hrs: Arrival at Lal Garh Palace for Tea.
18 30 Hrs: Arrival and Dinner on Board
