Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Arrival at airport is followed by reception and traditional greetings by
our representative. Thereafter you are transferred to hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 02: Delhi
Breakfast follows a full day city tour of old and New Delhi covering
Jama Masjid, the Red Fort, Rajghat, India Gate, National Museum, Qutab
Minar etc. Evening at leisure and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi/ Nawalgarh
Early morning you will be driven to Nawalgarh. You will reach Nawalgarh
in the afternoon (six hours drive from Delhi).
Nawalgarh
You will be taken for sightseeing in the evening. Nawalgarh is home to
some of the finest frescos in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan.
Attractions at Nawalgarh are a huge fort with colorful bazaar and
numerous Havelis with elaborate architecture. Some of the prominent
Havelis are Anandilal Poddar Haveli, Aath Haveli, Hodh Raj Patodia
Haveli etc. Hotel Roop Niwas is a beautiful heritage property.
Day 04: Nawalgarh/Bikaner
In the morning you will be driven to Bikaner. In the evening a sight
seeing tour of Bikaner is arranged. It covers Junagarh Fort (one of the
most imposing Forts of Northern India), Museum, Camel breeding farm and
township. Spend rest of the time at leisure. Overnight stay will be at
hotel in Bikaner.
Day 05: Bikaner/Jaisalmer
On the fifth day of the tour you will be driven to Jaisalmer. After
reaching Jaisalmer you will be transferred to hotel, thereafter a brief
excursion to Gadi Sagar and Sunset Point. You will have the evening at
leisure. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 06: Jaisalmer
After breakfast a full day city tour of Jaisalmer begins. Excursion
covers the Jaisalmer Fort, Jain and Hindu Temples, Patwon-ki-haveli,
Salim Singh-ki-haveli, Nathmalji-ki-haveli and the museum. Spend the
evening at leisure. Overnight will be at hotel.
Day 07: Jaisalmer/Jodhpur
In the morning you will be driven to Jodhpur. After reaching Jodhpur you
will be transferred to hotel. A brief excursion follows in the
afternoon. The excursion covers Meherangarh Fort, museums, clock tower
and Spice Market.
Day 08: Jodhpur/Pushkar
In the morning set out for Pushkar, one of the holiest places in India.
Reaching Pushkar you will be transferred to hotel followed by a city
tour, covering Hindu temples (including the world famous temple of Lord
Brahma), Pushkar Lake, Ghats and township. Overnight will be at hotel in
Pushkar.
Day 09: Pushkar/Samode
The next destination in the itinerary is Samode. From Pushkar you will
be driven to Samode. Samode is famous for its magnificent Havelis,
mansions and handicrafts. On reaching Samode you will be transferred to
hotel. It follows an excursion to Samode palace (set amidst fairy tale
surroundings, having a wealth of frescos). The ornate interiors of
Samode palace are a fine example of the Rajput Haveli architecture.
Overnight will be at hotel in Samode.
Day 10: Samode/Jaipur
On the tenth morning you will be driven to Jaipur. After reaching Jaipur
you will be taken for a city excursion of Jaipur. The excursion covers
the Amber fort (elephant ride while ascending the Amber fort), City
palace, Jantar Mantar (observatory), Hawa Mahal and ancient bazaars.
Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 11: Jaipur/Agra
Get ready for one of the most memorable experiences of your life, as the
next destination is Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. In the morning you
will be driven to Agra, visiting Fatehpur Sikri on the way, the
magnificent fortified Ghost city. The afternoon excursion at Agra
includes the Taj Mahal, the Agra fort and Itimad-Ud-Daulah's tomb.
Evening will be at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.
Day 12: Agra/Jhansi/Orchha
In the morning you will be transferred to the railway station to board
the express train to Jhansi. From Jhansi you will be driven to Orchha.
Sight seeing in Orchha covers Palaces, museum and Hindu temples. Evening
will be at leisure. Overnight will be at hotel at Orchha.
Day 13: Orchha/Khajuraho
From Orchha you will be driven to Khajuraho, the temple town known for
its beautiful, exotic and stunning temple sculpture and craftsmanship.
The places of interest at Khajuraho include the Hindu Temples (built by
the Chandela rulers) and the township. Overnight will be at hotel in
Khajuraho.
Day 14: Khajuraho/Varanasi
Explore the beauty of the Khajuraho temples. The excellent craftsmanship
of these temples highlights the zenith of temple architecture and
sculpture in ancient India. In the evening you will be transferred to
Airport to catch the flight to Varanasi. Reaching Varanasi you will be
transferred to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in
Varanasi.
Day 15: Varanasi
The excursion in Varanasi begins with a boat ride on the holy Ganges.
Other places of interest at Varanasi are Ganga Ghats, temples, Bharat
Mata temple, Vishwanath temple and the Benares Hindu University, the
largest residential university in India. You have the luxury of leisure
in the evening. Overnight will be at hotel.
Day 16: Varanasi/Delhi
After breakfast set out for an excursion to Sarnath, the place
associated with Buddhism as Lord Buddha preached his first sermon to his
disciples. The places of interest at Sarnath are the Buddhist temples,
the Dhamekha stupa, the Chaukhandi stupa and the archaeological museum.
In the evening you will be transferred to the railway station to board
the train to Delhi. Overnight on train.
Day 17: Delhi
On reaching Delhi you will be transferred to hotel for wash and change.
The whole day is at leisure. Late in the evening transfer to Airport to
board the flight for onward journey.
