Day 01: Chennai
Upon arrival at Chennai our representative will transfer you to hotel.
Stay overnight at hotel in Chennai.
Day 2: Chennai
After an early breakfast you will be driven to Mahabalipuram for a full
Day tour of Mahabalipuram and later Kanchipuram. Mahabalipuram is known
for its beautiful Ratha or the Shore temples. Here on the seashore is a
group of beautiful ancient rock hewn temples, which are fine examples of
Dravidian style of Architecture Kanchipuram was the ancient capital of
the Pallavas. It is famous as a city of 1000 Temples. The first temple,
dedicated to Shiva, was built in the 7th and 8th century and has
paintings on the walls. Other temples of interest are Ekambaswara,
Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy. Kanchipuram is also
famous for its silk. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Trichy
After breakfast leave by car for Trichy. On arrival you will transfer
to hotel. In the afternoon you will take a city tour of Trichy.
Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 4: Tanjore
After breakfast you will take a full day excursion to Tanjore.
Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 5: Madurai
After breakfast drive for Madurai. Madurai is an important cultural and
religious center of Tamil Nadu for centuries. Upon arrival at Madurai in
morning you will transfer to hotel. In the afternoon a visit to the
great Meenakshi Temple is organized. The temple is dedicated to the
consort of Lord Shiva. Later, you will be taken for a tour of the
Tirumala Nayak Palace. It is majestic building, built in the
Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stuccowork on its domes and arches.
Other attractions are the Alagar Hills and the Tirupara Kundran Rock
temple. Afternoon free. Stay overnight at hotel in Madurai.
Day 6: Periyar
After breakfast you will be driven to Periyar. Upon arrival you will
transfer to hotel. Afternoon boat rides on Lake Periyar for the game
viewing. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 7: Kumarakom
Breakfast at the hotel. Later leave by car for Kumarakom. On arrival
you will be transferred to Ayurvedic Resort. In the evening you will go
for boat ride on the backwaters. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 8: Kumarakom
You will spend the full day at the Ayurvedic center. Stay overnight at
the hotel.
Day 9: Kumarakom
After breakfast transfer to the rice boats for the cruise on the lake
and backwaters. Overnight will be on the boat.
Day 10: Cochin
After breakfast you will arrive at the New Jetty, transfer by road for
Cochin. On arrival you will transfer to Hotel. You will be taken for an
afternoon city tour of Cochin. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 11:Marari Beach
After breakfast transfer to Marari Beach. You will have rest of the day
free. Overnight at the Marari beach resort.
Day 12: Marari Beach
You will spend full day at the beach and Ayurvedic health center.
Overnight will be at the Marari beach resort.
Day 13: Marari Beach
You will spend full day at the beach and Ayurvedic health center.
Overnight will be at the Marari beach resort.
Day 14: Cochin
After breakfast transfer to Cochin airport in time to connect flight
for onward destination.
